Why Building Wars Punish High Ping More Than Firefights
Fortnite's servers are generally cited around 30Hz — a tick rate Epic balances against supporting 100-player lobbies, real-time building destruction, vehicles, and large-scale terrain changes simultaneously, unlike smaller tactical shooters that can push tick rate much higher with a lighter simulation load.
